LaBELLE SWAMP CABBAGE FESTIVAL

The Jeep Clubs across Southwest Florida, including Caloosa Jeepers, Prodigy Offroad, CORE, Alpha, and Trail Marco attended the 58th Annual Swamp Cabbage Festival in LaBelle, Fl. As part of our attendance at the festival, organizers asked us to block one of the streets to restrict vehicle access.  Those Jeeps that were show ready (including the lone muddy one) entered the show and shine.  Trophies were awarded for first, second and third place along with a peoples’ choice award.

Caloosa Jeepers Spread Holiday Cheer at Coconut Point Christmas Parade

In a festive display of community spirit, Caloosa Jeepers took part in the first annual Coconut Point Christmas Parade, adding their unique flair to the holiday celebrations. The event, held on December 2, 2023, featured a dazzling array of decorated Jeeps, each one adding to the festive atmosphere of the parade.

One of the highlights of the parade was the participation of Caloosa Jeepers in driving local dignitaries and bringing Santa Claus in for the tree lighting ceremony. Decked out in their holiday best, the Jeeps made quite the impression as they paraded through the streets, spreading holiday cheer to all who lined the parade route.

“We were thrilled to be a part of the Coconut Point Christmas Parade and to have the opportunity to contribute to the festive atmosphere,” said Caloosa Jeepers Board of Directors Secretary Amy Lounds. “It was an honor to drive the local dignitaries and to bring Santa in for the tree lighting ceremony. It truly felt like a special moment for our community.”

Adding to their festive spirit, members of Caloosa Jeepers also donated toys which were given to Toys for Tots, a charitable organization that collects toys to distribute to children in need during the holiday season. This act of generosity further underscored Caloosa Jeepers’ commitment to giving back to the community.

“The best part of being in the parade was seeing the smiles on people’s faces as we drove by,” said one member. “It was a great feeling knowing that we were helping to spread holiday cheer.”

The Coconut Point Christmas Parade was a resounding success, thanks in no small part to the participation of Caloosa Jeepers. Their commitment to community involvement and spreading holiday joy is a testament to the spirit of giving that defines the holiday season.

As the parade came to an end and the tree lighting ceremony began, the members of Caloosa Jeepers looked back on the day with fondness, knowing that they had helped make the holiday season a little brighter for their community. They look forward to participating in future parades and continuing to spread joy and goodwill wherever they go.
